Mary and her sister were taken in by Jersken after reports from local villagers who saw Mary and her sister suffering in cold since their mother would move from one place to another around the shopping centre due to her mental illness.
Mary had no permanent place to call home. She suffered from the cold and depended on well-wishers for food and clothing.
Since coming to Jersken, Mary says she would not like to remember her past life, she prefers to focus on her future.
Mary wants to become a nurse when she grows up.
